Parents and guardians are essential partners in creating a positive experience for our athletes. Your support, encouragement, and behavior help shape the culture of Delaware Jr Pacers.
Our goal is simple: provide a safe, respectful, and fun environment for every child.
We ask all parents and guardians to:
Show respect toward athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and other families
Encourage effort, growth, and teamwork — not just wins and outcomes
Support coaches by allowing them to coach and lead their teams
Model good sportsmanship at practices, games, and events
Help ensure athletes arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate
To maintain a positive game-day environment:
Cheer positively — no negative comments toward players, coaches, or officials
No coaching from the sidelines
No profanity, harassment, or confrontational behavior
Respect all officials’ decisions
If a parent or guardian cannot follow these expectations, they may be asked to leave the event.
We believe communication works best when it is respectful and constructive.
Do not approach coaches during games or practices with concerns
Allow time to cool off before addressing issues
Direct concerns through the appropriate coach or program leadership
Avoid public criticism, including social media posts, about athletes, coaches, officials, or the organization
Encourage your child to try their best and have fun
Help them learn accountability, resilience, and teamwork
Support fair play and respect for opponents
Remember: youth sports are about development, confidence, and enjoyment
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
Verbal or written warnings
Removal from games or events
Suspension of sideline privileges
Additional disciplinary action if necessary
By participating in Delaware Jr Pacers football or cheer, parents and guardians agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and support the mission and values of the organization.
