As a Delaware Jr Pacers cheer athlete, you are a leader and role model who represents your team, your family, and your community. Cheer is about teamwork, energy, and pride โ both on and off the field.
Every cheer athlete is expected to:
Show respect to teammates, coaches, officials, and spectators
Support the team positively with enthusiasm and good sportsmanship
Listen to coaches and follow instructions
Give your best effort at practices, games, and events
Be a good teammate โ encourage, include, and support others
Safety is always the top priority.
Follow all safety rules and coaching instructions
Use proper techniques for stunts, jumps, and routines
Never attempt skills without coach approval or supervision
Tell a coach if you are injured, tired, or not feeling well
Cheer athletes should always:
Use appropriate language
Maintain a positive attitude
Be respectful in words and actions
Treat uniforms, equipment, and facilities with care
The following behaviors are not allowed:
Bullying, teasing, or exclusion of others
Profanity or inappropriate language or gestures
Disrespect toward coaches, teammates, or officials
Negative or unsportsmanlike behavior
Cheer athletes are responsible for their behavior at all team activities.
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
Warnings
Reduced participation
Removal from practices or events
Suspension from the program
